Fresh Economic Worries Sends Gold To Record

     NATIONAL - Reuters has the article Gold hits record on safe-haven demand that begins "Gold rallied to a record high near $1,260 an ounce on Friday as momentum triggered by buying of the metal as a haven from sovereign and financial risk pushed prices through technical resistance to near their previous peak.
     Yesterday, Reuters had the article Fresh economic worries trigger rush into gold that begins "Gold bullion came just short of its all-time high and U.S. gold futures ran up to their highest close ever on Thursday on both concern over Europe's credit problems and downbeat U.S. data which encouraged a fresh sweep into safe-haven assets."
