     ELKO BAND - Davis Gonzales, Elko Band Council member, was sworn in Monday as the newest member of the Te-Moak Tribal Council.  Gonzales replaces Doyle Tybo as an Elko Band representative.  Tybo resigned as a member of the Tribal Council citing personal reasons.

Band Chairman Resigns

     BATTLE MOUNTAIN BAND -  At last nights meeting, Battle Mountain Band Council Chairman Mike Price resigned from the council.
     The Band Council had set a hearing for the removal of Price as chairman, but an absent Price submitted a letter of resignation instead.  The Band Council will now set an election for the chairman vacancy.

Band Council's Second Attempt To Get It Right

     ELKO BAND - The Elko Band Council meeting held on July 6 had the lone agenda item of Te-Moak Representative Resolution, to fix the previous decision to place Davis Gonzales on the Te-Moak Tribal Council, costing Elko Band nearly $400.00 for council stipends.
     The reason for the special meeting was to pass a resolution to place Gonzales on the tribal council since at the previous June 30 meeting the council did not correctly place Gonzales on the tribal council.

Newest Band Council Member Sworn In

     BATTLE MOUNTAIN BAND - After receiving the most votes in the Battle Mountain Band Council special election on June 30, Richard Smith was sworn in by Te-Moak Election Board Chairman Arthur Thompson, officially taking the vacant council member position on the Battle Mountain Band Council.
