Band Council Rewards Council Member's Lawsuit

     ELKO BAND - The Elko Band Council approved awarding Council member Davis Gonzales a $200 council member bonus and a $500 Christmas bonus despite Gonzales currently having a lawsuit against Elko Band Council.

Judge Resigns

     TEMOAK TRIBE - It is being reported that the Judge Bill Kockenmeister has resigned his position as the judge for the Te-Moak Tribe and the court proceedings for Friday has been cancelled.

     SOUTH FORK BAND - The Elko Daily Free Press has the article Lee woman accused of cattle theft that begins "An area woman faces two misdemeanor charges related to cattle theft after her recent indictment in tribal court."

     TEMOAK TRIBE - The US federal court has rescheduled the hearing for Vivian Marie Potter to an earlier date.

US Judge Sets Trial In Elko Indian Colony Stabbing

     TEMOAK TRIBE - In news first reported here yesterday, KTVN has the article US judge rejects deal, sets trial in Elko stabbing that begins "A federal judge in Reno rejected a plea deal and set a Jan. 24 trial for a man accused of assault with a deadly weapon in the stabbing of another man at a home on the upper Elko Indian Colony."

Federal Charge Filed Against Tribal Member

     TEMOAK TRIBE - On September 22, a federal charge of misdemeanor assault resulting in serious bodily injury was filed in Nevada Federal District Court against Vivian Marie Potter for an incident that occurred on the Elko Indian Colony.
