Elko Band Council Developing Trailer Park

ELKO BAND – The Elko Band Council is set to spend $600,000 on a new housing development.
The council is currently developing a trailer park project on upper Wongobi Street and has already spent close to $200,000 developing the area.  This has been an ongoing project since it was intiated by the previous band council.
To complete the project, the council has submitted a proposal to an Elko bank to borrow approximately $410,000 to buy at least eight trailers to put at the trailer park. This would make Elko Band the landlord of the park.
There is no set date as to when the project would be complete.
