SOUTH FORK BAND - The South Fork Band Council issued the land assignments of Floyd Bill and Chester Knight to Harley Reynolds and Council member Turk Knight.
As previously posted, the South Fork Band Council took back the land assignments from Floyd Bill and Chester Knight because of their absence from the South Fork area. The land assignments were then posted for tribal members to apply for.
Vincent Garcia, representative for Bill and Knight, took the matter to the Te-Moak Tribal Council and the Tribal Council began to review the taking of the land assignments.
Bill and Knight never asked the court for an order to halt the process until their appeals have been heard and South Fork Council continued with issuing the land assignments.
