More information on Wayne Bill's Removal

Tribal Council - A copy of a Te-Moak meeting notice concerning Wayne Bill’s removal from the Te-Moak council surfaced showing that it was signed by the chairman on April 18th.

The only subject for this Te-moak meeting was Wayne Bill’s removal. If the south fork council didn’t remove Wayne Bill from Te-Moak until April 20th how did Davis Gonzales know that he was going to be removed before it even happened?  And now, there is news that south fork council fired a member of Wayne Bill’s family? Is this payback?

and the crazy train keeps chugging along. What's next? Taking away land assignments? Nothing new with SF. Come to think of it, there are some illegal assignment holders, false claims of heirs, and violations of the land use ordinance. That might be worth protecting on part of the SFBC. Beyond the rumors and petty behavior of the south fork council, what are they hiding? I get why Davis is in self-preservation mode, his whole existence revolves around Te-moak Council and the benefits that come with it. Not to mention the 'good boy' pat on the back by mining officials, and the dangling of their golden carrot he just can't resist biting. With south fork, this is the worst its been ever. It can't just be about protecting Dallas Smales or 'someone disagreed with me and hurt my feelings.' Welcome to the real world. This is their legacy, I hope they are proud of what they are doing and it must be nice to be such miserable people to not think or care about who they are hurting. It's an insult and an embarrassment to tribal sovereignty. If this was happening in another tribe elsewhere, all of these people including Davis, would have been in prison a long time ago.

Good point. Lets get the crazy train hooked up with the prison train.

Every band under Te-moak has lived under one or more councils not everyone is happy with, to the point where this corruption has become normalized and tolerated. Promises here, promises there, riding on coat-tails for any little piece of crumb. Outside of the reservation it means nothing. The important issues are the misuse of federal funds and the failure of the Te-moak council to take their federal and legal obligations seriously, by allowing corruption to happen at band level. I'm sure everyone involved has their personal reasons of how they were wronged in one way or another. Don't get bogged down in the personal, focus on the collective. The way things are now, the mines have more control over the tribe. There goes sovereignty.

Con Air is more like it. Reservations, anyone?

Our recent council has no mind of their own. Always going where the Chairman leans. It's not good. Don't they have a mind of their own? We don't hear a beep from three council members. Sometimes we have to ask them what their opinions are? They are getting paid for sleeping up there? They should all be on the prison train instead of the crazy train! The last TMK meeting @ Elko Band was a joke. The Chairman & his followers love what BLM is doing to us. On top of that, Alice doesn't give a hoot about the cattle getting water in South Fork. She doesn't own cattle. That's why she doesn't care. She turned out to be an uncaring, selfish, ignorant Chairwoman. Who voted her in? I think she got a big head when she got voted. Bet she won't get in nxt year....we all kno how much she's LIKED. WE are mine's children now. What happened to our tribal sovereignty? It sickens me when the Chairman signed this agreement. Corruption!!!! Time for us to get this council out. Mainly Davis....

The council is there to collect a check and nothing else. They don't need to think when the mines and the BLM does the thinking for them. I would like to think the older ones should have common sense. Guess not. If Alice doesn't have cattle why does she hold an assignment at all? How is Alice working the land? No one owns the land assignments and no assignment should not be used for a burial ground. Her assignment can be taken away at any time. Maybe the real question is how did Alice Tybo get an assignment?

another corruption out in South Fork!!!

Alice and her getting the assignment will be appealed to the Te-Moak Council. She followed her own law not Tribal law. Reinforced by her corrupt attorney.

Who's Alice's attorney? Her & her other friend were caught stealing gas? Why isn't the council out there doing anything about this? Jail both of them. aother corruption in South Fork again!!!! Enough is enough...

Yes who is Alice's attorney? I supposed paid for by band or tribal funds. Stealing gas was done by the council members and their family members. There's suppose to be a video tape of their illegal theft from the south fork gas tank at the band building. I'm sure their excuse is "just cause" they can. They are all disgusting.

Why would Chief Alice Tybo need an attorney for her assignment? It legally doesn't belong to her. She couldn't legally claim to be an"heir" to get that assignment. Those assignments are federal land under federal jurisdiction and the lame BIA is suppose to make sure those lands are used properly. Does Alice and her council not understand those lands are also under the psuedo-jurisdiction of the Te-Moak Council. That assignment should have been posted as an open assignment so people can apply. Even if Alice in her conflict of interest and her council gave it to Alice, it still has to go through Te-Moak Council for approval. She can not claim heirship to federal land. Where are the documents? Are they on file with the BIA and in Phoenix? Did the Te-Moak council follow the ordinance? "Just cause" it states sfbc has authority to give an assignment, it still is a limited power. Te-Moak tribal council is suppose to follow federal law and their own constitution. The next Tribal council can come in and strip away the assignment from Alice Tybo. She is illegal.
