BIA Posts Western Shoshone Claims Update for June

     TE-MOAK TRIBE - The Bureau of Indian Affairs has posted a June update on their Western Shoshone Claims website.
     According to the update, the BIA has completed the quality assurance review on all the applications received by December 31, 2010.
     Also, the BIA has mailed out letters to 5,291 eligible applicants requesting address and payment verification from the approved eligible applicants.  The BIA advises that in 1,087 of those letters, the telephone number listed for Fiduciary Trust Officer Raylene Swan was incorrect and that the correct telephone number is (775) 887-3525.
     The Progress Report Through June 18, 2012 shows that there are 5,291 applications determined eligible and 364 appeals awaiting final decision.
     The target date for final payment is still set for September 30, 2012.
